PPG Completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES Project at Kindergarten Serving Children with Special Educational Needs in Poland

The project brought together more than 50 volunteers from PPG and the local community.

PPG announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project at Integration Kindergarten No. 2, a facility that integrates children with special needs, in Cieszyn, Poland. The project brought together more than 50 volunteers from PPG and the local community, along with partners from the City of Cieszyn and the kindergarten, to create a brighter and more inspiring environment for children, teachers and families.

PPG provided a grant of $70,000 (260,000 Polish zloty) to support the project, along with donations of more than 88 gallons (330 liters) of TIKKURILA, BECKERS and DEKORAL paints by PPG. Products included Beckers Designer Kitchen & Bathroom premium matt interior paint, developed for high-use spaces that require exceptional durability and scrub resistance.

PPG completed a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project at Integration Kindergarten No. 2, a facility that integrates children with special needs, in Cieszyn, Poland.

Volunteers and project partners renovated and furnished four classrooms and communal areas, and restored wooden parquet floors, furniture and doors. They also created a series of nature-inspired murals designed to foster curiosity, creativity and a connection with the natural world.

“We are especially grateful to PPG for the thoughtful visual identity created as part of this project, which reflects our educational focus on nature,” said Aleksandra Stanieczek, director of Integration Kindergarten No. 2. “The nature-inspired artwork draws on the themes of our classrooms and incorporates illustrations familiar to children from the natural world. This new visual style creates a calm, harmonious and engaging atmosphere that supports children’s wellbeing, stimulates curiosity and encourages exploration.”

Integration Kindergarten No. 2 serves 80 children, including those with diverse educational and developmental needs. The facility plays an important role in supporting early childhood development and fostering an inclusive environment where every child can learn, grow and thrive.

“Our Cieszyn site is an important part of the local community, not only through the jobs and economic opportunities we create, but also through initiatives that support local facilities,” said Piotr Szewczyk, PPG plant director, Cieszyn. “Many of our employees have personal connections to this kindergarten, making this project especially meaningful. We are proud to invest in projects like this one that help create positive, lasting benefits for the people of this city.”

The project was delivered through a partnership between PPG, the City of Cieszyn and local community organizations.

“This is an excellent example of how cooperation between local government, business and community partners can create meaningful benefits for residents,” said Gabriela Staszkiewicz, mayor of Cieszyn. “When the scope of the renovation grew and it became clear that additional funding would be needed, the City of Cieszyn was pleased to support the project. We thank PPG and all volunteers whose commitment and collaboration made this remarkable transformation possible.”
